Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday in East Asia. On February 14th, 2016, REACH helped welcome in the Year of the Monkey by taking part in the Central Florida Dragon Parade, as well as volunteering in the Lunar New Year Festival! On February 10, 2013, REACH members manned the booth and fund-raised at the annual Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival. REACH members also performed kung fu, aerial silks, and other cultural dances in this eclectic celebration of the Lunar New Year.
On February 5, 2012, REACH members participated in the CAACF Lunar New Year Dragon Parade. Held at the Mills 50 intersection, the parade featured REACH members as they performed the traditional dragon dance. Other cultural performances at the parade included aerial silks and taiko drumming. REACH members manned the booth and sold orchids to fundraise.
